Flue-gas losses

Flue-gas losses are unused heat energy released by the fuel (e.g. fuel oil or gas). When high-temperature flue gases are passed unused out of the flue, one talks of flue-gas losses. To maximise use of this heat, i.e. the residual energy in the flue gases, low-temperature or, better still, condensing boilers or systems can be used.
