What are the benefits of a new heating system?

Modern heating systems can do one thing above all others - reliably save energy. There are many aspects to potential savings:

  • Modern heating boilers adapt the energy they use to the outside temperature.
  • They avoid unnecessarily high flow temperatures (previously often 80°C) and yet they still provide reliable heat.
  • Modern boilers are extremely well insulated. They heat the house, not the boiler room.
  • If your home has been retrospectively insulated in recent years, your heating boiler may be oversized and use too much energy.
  • In summer, just short burner operating times are all that is needed to ensure an adequate hot water supply. Old burners have to remain switched on all year.
  • Modern burner technology also uses the waste heat in the flue gases for heating, and achieves a standard utilisation factor of 110%.
  • The more economic a heating system is, the lower are the emissions.
